Job description

Strategic Account Sales Manager (Finance)

Position Summary

Amphenol aims to be an industry leader in sales and profits within our sector. This role acts as a liaison between sales, product, and leadership, managing sales strategies by market and customer. The manager must understand the sales pipeline, create forecasts, and collaborate with the outside sales team and channel partners to grow new business. Attendance at tradeshows and events is expected to identify market opportunities and align sales strategies. The position offers mentorship and leadership development opportunities, requiring respectfulness, trustworthiness, and adherence to core values. Success will be measured by sales activity, revenue, profit, and alignment with company strategy.

Seattle/Northwest Region (Fully Remote)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Work with Head of Sales to create and monitor Sales Key Performance Indicators.
  2. Oversee Strategic Account Sales and identify gaps.
  3. Develop value propositions and focus on solution selling aligned with corporate vision.
  4. Maintain fiscal responsibility by adhering to sales budgets.
  5. Foster cooperative relationships within and outside the company.
  6. Identify new market opportunities and document trends for product development.
  7. Collaborate with Product Management to develop market-responsive products.
  8. Create and support a Strategic Sales Playbook for key accounts.
  9. Provide technical sales support to the sales team.
  10. Utilize CRM tools to manage sales activities and expectations.
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, business, economics, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  2. At least five years of successful sales experience preferred.
  3. Experience in enterprise data centers or telecommunications markets is preferred but not required.
  4. Strong organizational, problem-solving, relational sales, and presentation skills.
Skills and Attributes

Effective communication, team support, market competitiveness, proficiency with Mac and Windows, CRM systems, and data analysis tools like Excel are essential. Physical ability to move 60 pounds, sit, stand, and focus on detailed work for extended periods is required. Emotional intelligence and stress management skills are also important.

Work Environment

This role may be remote but requires extensive domestic and international travel.

Compensation

Exempt status with a base pay range of $95,000-$105,000/year, plus commissions and bonuses based on performance. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, retirement, flexible schedules, and more.
