Strategic Account Sales Manager (Finance)

Position Summary: Amphenol aims to be an industry leader in sales and profits within our sector. This role acts as a liaison between sales, product, and leadership, managing sales strategies by market and customer. Responsibilities include understanding the sales pipeline, creating forecasts, collaborating with outside sales and channel partners to grow new business, and attending tradeshows and events to identify market opportunities. The role is designed for mentorship and leadership development, emphasizing core values such as respect and trust. Success metrics include sales activity, revenue, profit, and alignment with company strategy. The position is based in the Seattle/Northwest Region and is fully remote.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Work with the Head of Sales to set and meet Sales Key Performance Indicators.
  2. Oversee Strategic Account Sales, identify gaps, and develop strategies to address them.
  3. Create value propositions and focus on solution selling aligned with corporate vision.
  4. Manage sales budgets responsibly and ethically.
  5. Foster cooperative relationships within and outside the company.
  6. Identify new market opportunities and document market trends for product development.
  7. Collaborate with Product Management to develop market-resonant products.
  8. Create and support a Strategic Sales Playbook for key accounts.
  9. Provide technical sales support to the sales team.
  10. Utilize CRM tools to manage sales activities and expectations.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, business, economics, or related fields, or equivalent experience.
  • Preferably five years of successful sales experience.
  • Experience in enterprise data centers or telecommunications markets is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and relational skills.
Additional Skills and Environment:

Effective communication, team-oriented mindset, proficiency with MacOS/Windows, CRM, and Microsoft Excel are essential. The role requires physical ability to transport 60 pounds, extended periods of sitting or standing, and extensive travel, both domestically and internationally. The work environment may be remote or in-office, with a focus on high-stress management and detailed focus.

Compensation and Benefits:

Exempt position with a base salary of $95,000-$105,000/year, plus commissions and bonuses based on performance. Benefits include comprehensive health plans, retirement options, flexible schedules, and more.
