Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital in Georgia is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to support 24/7 patient care in a high-volume hospital setting. You will collaborate with the Director of Pharmacy to ensure regulatory compliance, oversee unit dose operations, the IV room, and OR/ICU satellite activities to maintain seamless patient services.

Required: ACPE-accredited degree (Bachelor’s or higher) and Georgia license; 3 years hospital pharmacy experience; management experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy with a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Pharmacy (required).

Responsibilities

• Assists the Director of Pharmacy in ensuring that the pharmacy provides superior services and adheres to all legal, accreditation, and certification requirements.
• Ensures patient care is uninterrupted 24 hours per day, 7 days a week.
• Manages pharmacy staff, including scheduling, performance evaluation, and process improvement.
• Oversees daily unit dose operations and all daily IV room and OR/ICU Satellite activities.
• Performs all duties of a Staff Pharmacist as needed.

Required Hours

Monday-Friday, day shift, some weekend / holiday / evenings / nights based on dept needs.

Responsibilities

Assists the Director of Pharmacy in ensuring that the pharmacy provides superior services, exceeds all legal, accreditation, and certification requirements, and follows all applicable policies, procedures, codes, and standards of the hospital for the storage and preparation of pharmaceuticals. Ensures that patient care remains uninterrupted, 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Responsible for the management of pharmacy staff, including scheduling, performance evaluation, and improvement. Oversees and monitors all daily unit dose operations and all daily IV room and OR/ICU Satellite activities. Performs all duties of a Staff Pharmacist as needed.

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of an accredited an ACPE school of pharmacy with a Bachelor's Degree or higher in Pharmacy Required

Work Experience

• 3 years of hospital pharmacy experience Required
• Previous experience and/or training in the general use of pharmacy computer systems Required
• Management experience Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• PHARM-R - Registered Pharmacist Licensed as a registered pharmacist in State of Georgia. Upon Hire Required
