Job summary

Piedmont Fayette Hospital in Fayetteville, GA is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to ensure high-quality pharmaceutical services and compliance with hospital and regulatory standards. This role supports 24/7 patient care, supervising staff, and maintaining daily unit-dose and IV room operations.

The successful candidate will have a ACPE-accredited pharmacy degree, a Bachelor’s or higher in Pharmacy, and be licensed as a Pharmacist in Georgia (PHARM-R).

Qualifications

• 3 years of hospital pharmacy experience.
• Training in general use of pharmacy computer systems.
• Management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Director of Pharmacy in ensuring compliance with legal, accreditation, and hospital policies for storage and preparation of pharmaceuticals.
• Ensures uninterrupted patient care 24/7.
• Oversees staff scheduling, performance evaluation, and improvement.
• Manages daily unit dose operations and IV room/OR/ICU satellite activities.
• Performs duties of a Staff Pharmacist as needed.

Responsibilities

Assists the Director of Pharmacy in ensuring that the pharmacy provides superior services, exceeds all legal, accreditation, and certification requirements, and follows all applicable policies, procedures, codes, and standards of the hospital for the storage and preparation of pharmaceuticals. Ensures that patient care remains uninterrupted, 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Responsible for the management of pharmacy staff, including scheduling, performance evaluation, and improvement. Oversees and monitors all daily unit dose operations and all daily IV room and OR/ICU Satellite activities. Performs all duties of a Staff Pharmacist as needed.

Education

• Graduate of an accredited an ACPE school of pharmacy with a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Pharmacy Required

Work Experience

• 3 years of hospital pharmacy experience Required
• Previous experience and/or training in the general use of pharmacy computer systems Required
• Management experience Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• PHARM-R - Registered Pharmacist Licensed as a registered pharmacist in State of Georgia. Upon Hire Required
