Job summary

Piedmont Fayette Hospital in Fayetteville, GA, is seeking an Operations Manager, Pharmacy. The role supports the Director of Pharmacy to maintain uninterrupted patient care and regulatory compliance across storage, preparation, and distribution of medications.

Responsibilities include supervising pharmacy staff, scheduling, performance reviews, and ensuring smooth unit dose, IV room, and OR/ICU satellite operations to uphold quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy with a Bachelor's Degree or higher in Pharmacy.
• 3 years of hospital pharmacy experience required.
• Experience with general use of pharmacy computer systems required.
• Management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Director of Pharmacy to ensure superior services, compliance with legal, accreditation and hospital policies for storage and preparation of pharmaceuticals.
• Ensures patient care is uninterrupted, 24/7.
• Oversees pharmacy staff scheduling, performance evaluation and improvement.
• Monitors daily unit dose operations and IV room/OR/ICU satellite activities.

Responsibilities:

Assists the Director of Pharmacy in ensuring that the pharmacy provides superior services, exceeds all legal, accreditation, and certification requirements, and follows all applicable policies, procedures, codes, and standards of the hospital for the storage and preparation of pharmaceuticals. Ensures that patient care remains uninterrupted, 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Responsible for the management of pharmacy staff, including scheduling, performance evaluation, and improvement. Oversees and monitors all daily unit dose operations and all daily IV room and OR/ICU Satellite activities. Performs all duties of a Staff Pharmacist as needed.

Qualifications:

Education

• Graduate of an accredited an ACPE school of pharmacy with a Bachelor's Degree or higher in Pharmacy Required

Work Experience

• 3 years of hospital pharmacy experience Required
• Previous experience and/or training in the general use of pharmacy computer systems Required
• Management experience Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• PHARM-R - Registered Pharmacist Licensed as a registered pharmacist in State of Georgia. Upon Hire Required
