The YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids is seeking a part-time Manager on Duty (MOD) to welcome members, volunteers, and staff, and to oversee safety, conduct, and age-appropriateness during designated hours, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
Responsibilities include incident management, member engagement, reporting to leadership, and supporting program participants while maintaining a clean, safe facility.
Description
The Manager on Duty, also referred to as MOD, is focused on welcoming members, volunteers, and staff throughout the facility, connecting people, supporting members toward their goals, and inviting individuals to get more involved with the YMCA. The MOD is also responsible for the building operations in safety, conduct, and age appropriateness during designated hours. This position requires morning and evening availability, as well as weekend.
Performs any other functions necessary for the smooth and efficient operation of the YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids Association.
$16.12 - $20.15 ; Part Time; Non-Exempt (up to 25 hrs/week)
One-year certificate from college or technical school; three to six month’s customer service, security, or supervision experience; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience required. Ability to interact with people of all ethnic backgrounds, ages and lifestyles. Ability to consistently enforce YMCA policies. Must be 18 years of age or older. Working knowledge of a computers and experience with a variety of software applications. YMCA experience preferred.
