Job summary

Sofive Soccer Centers is seeking a Manager on Duty to oversee daily operations at our Maryland facility, with a strong focus on bar and food & beverage. You will lead front-of-house staff, ensure excellent guest experiences, and support safety and quality standards across the venue.

Ideal candidates have leadership, communication, and customer-service skills, plus experience in bar or beverage management, inventory control, and event support for leagues and large groups.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily operations and staff in the absence of the General Manager and Assistant Manager.
• Leads bar operations during shift; ensure bar is staffed, organized and efficient.
• Supervises bar staff to maintain service quality, cash handling and policy compliance.
• Drives bar sales by monitoring demand and opportunities to increase revenue.
• Monitors bar inventory and stock levels; ensures beverages and food are stocked.
• Coordinates bar restocking and communicates purchasing needs to management.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of the bar area, storage, and service spaces.
• Responds to customer inquiries and bar-related concerns promptly and professionally.
• Ensures compliance with policies including safety procedures.
• Encourages teamwork and supports staff across the facility.
• Coordinates with Front Desk, Soccer Operations, and Food & Beverage to streamline operations.
• Ensures readiness for leagues, events, and high-volume periods, adjusting staffing as needed.
• Implements and maintains safety procedures for staff and customers.
• Maintains a strong on-floor presence to uphold Sofive standards.

Manager On Duty

Pay rate: $18 hourly

Job Description

Sofive Soccer Centers is a rapidly growing business that is developing soccer centers - modern sport complexes with small-sided soccer fields. The Manager on Duty is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Sofive Soccer facility while ensuring that customer needs are met. The Manager on Duty will have a strong focus on bar and food & beverage operations, including managing bar staff, maintaining inventory and stock levels, driving bar sales, and ensuring a high-quality customer experience. This position requires a person with strong communication, leadership, customer service, and decision-making skills, as well as bar or food & beverage management experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily operations and staff in the absence of the General Manager and Assistant Manager.


• Takes primary responsibility for bar operations during their shift, ensuring the bar is properly staffed, organized, and operating efficiently.


• Supervises and supports bar staff to ensure high-quality customer service, efficient service, proper cash handling, and adherence to company policies and procedures.


• Drives bar sales by actively monitoring customer demand, identifying opportunities to increase sales, and ensuring the bar provides a positive customer experience.


• Monitors bar inventory and stock levels, ensuring beverages, food, and other bar supplies are properly stocked and available throughout the shift.


• Coordinates and completes bar restocking, inventory checks, and communicates purchasing or supply needs to management.


• Ensures the bar area, equipment, storage areas, and service areas are clean, organized, and maintained to company standards.


• Responds to customer inquiries, complaints, and problems in a timely and professional manner, with particular attention to bar and food & beverage-related concerns.


• Ensures that all employees comply with company policies and procedures, including applicable bar, food & beverage, cash-handling, and safety procedures.


• Encourages teamwork and provides guidance and support to staff across the facility.


• Coordinates with other departments to streamline operations and increase efficiency, including Front Desk, Soccer Operations, and Food & Beverage.


• Ensures the bar and overall facility are properly prepared for leagues, events, and high-volume periods, adjusting staffing and operations as needed.


• Implements and maintains safety procedures for staff and customers.


• Maintains a strong presence on the floor and in the bar area, proactively addressing operational issues and ensuring the overall customer experience meets Sofive standards.
