Job summary

Sofive City Soccer, Inc. is seeking a Manager on Duty to oversee daily operations at our Columbia, MD facility, with a strong emphasis on bar and food & beverage operations.

You will lead staff during shifts, ensure a premier customer experience, and drive sales while maintaining safety and smooth service. You will supervise bar personnel, manage inventory, coordinate with Front Desk and Soccer Operations, and ensure readiness for leagues and events.

• Bar or food & beverage management experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily operations and staff in the absence of the General Manager and Assistant Manager.
• Takes primary responsibility for bar operations during their shift, ensuring bar is properly staffed, organized, and operating efficiently.
• Supervises and supports bar staff to ensure high-quality customer service, efficient service, proper cash handling, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Drives bar sales by actively monitoring customer demand and identifying opportunities to increase sales.
• Monitors bar inventory and stock levels, ensuring beverages, food, and other bar supplies are stocked and available.
• Coordinates bar restocking, inventory checks, and communicates purchasing or supply needs to management.
• Ensures bar area, equipment, storage areas, and service areas are clean, organized, and maintained to standards.
• Responds to customer inquiries, complaints, and problems in a timely and professional manner, especially bar- and F&B-related concerns.
• Ensures employees comply with company policies, including bar, F&B, cash-handling, and safety procedures.
• Encourages teamwork and provides guidance and support to staff across the facility.
• Coordinates with Front Desk, Soccer Operations, and Food & Beverage to streamline operations.
• Prepares the bar and facility for leagues, events, and high-volume periods, adjusting staffing as needed.
• Implements and maintains safety procedures for staff and customers.
• Maintains a strong presence on the floor and in the bar area to address operational issues.

Pay rate: $18 hourly

Job Description:

Sofive Soccer Centers is a rapidly growing business that is developing soccer centers – modern sport complexes with small-sided soccer fields. The Manager on Duty is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Sofive Soccer facility while ensuring that customer needs are met. The Manager on Duty will have a strong focus on bar and food & beverage operations, including managing bar staff, maintaining inventory and stock levels, driving bar sales, and ensuring a high-quality customer experience. This position requires a person with strong communication, leadership, customer service, and decision-making skills, as well as bar or food & beverage management experience.

Responsibilities:

• Oversees daily operations and staff in the absence of the General Manager and Assistant Manager.
• Takes primary responsibility for bar operations during their shift, ensuring the bar is properly staffed, organized, and operating efficiently.

• Coordinates and completes bar restocking, inventory checks, and communicates purchasing or supply needs to management.
• Ensures the bar area, equipment, storage areas, and service areas are clean, organized, and maintained to company standards.
• Responds to customer inquiries, complaints, and problems in a timely and professional manner, with particular attention to bar and food & beverage-related concerns.
• Ensures that all employees comply with company policies and procedures, including applicable bar, food & beverage, cash-handling, and safety procedures.
• Encourages teamwork and provides guidance and support to staff across the facility.
• Coordinates with other departments to streamline operations and increase efficiency, including Front Desk, Soccer Operations, and Food & Beverage.
• Ensures the bar and overall facility are properly prepared for leagues, events, and high-volume periods, adjusting staffing and operations as needed.
• Implements and maintains safety procedures for staff and customers.
• Maintains a strong presence on the floor and in the bar area, proactively addressing operational issues and ensuring the overall customer experience meets Sofive standards.
