Job summary

A&K Railroad Materials, Inc. seeks a strategic leader to manage Asset Recovery and Secondary Markets across North America.

You will shape strategies to maximize value of scrap materials, surplus inventory, used railroad ties, and other assets from nationwide operations, while collaborating with operations, leadership, and customers. This highly visible role combines market intelligence, pricing strategy, and contract negotiations to create new revenue opportunities and drive profitability across

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience
• 5+ years in scrap recycling, metals sales, commodity trading, industrial asset recovery, or related commercial role
• Strong business development, negotiation, and relationship management skills
• Knowledge of scrap markets, commodity pricing, and commercial contracting
• Strong analytical skills with experience using Microsoft Office and ERP systems
• Experience in the railroad, steel, manufacturing, foundry, or recycling industries is a plus

As the Manager of Asset Recovery and Secondary Markets, you'll lead the strategy for maximizing the value of scrap materials, surplus inventory, used railroad ties, industrial equipment, rolling stock, and other secondary assets generated throughout our nationwide operations.

This is a highly visible role where you'll combine market intelligence, business development, pricing strategy, and commercial negotiations to create new revenue opportunities. Working closely with operations, leadership, and customers across North America, you'll identify emerging markets, build strategic relationships, negotiate contracts, and help drive profitability across the business.

Requirements

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience
