Job summary

A&K Railroad Materials, Inc. seeks a strategic leader to manage Asset Recovery and Secondary Markets across North America.

You will shape strategies to maximize value of scrap materials, surplus inventory, used railroad ties, and other assets from nationwide operations, while collaborating with operations, leadership, and customers. This highly visible role combines market intelligence, pricing strategy, and contract negotiations to create new revenue opportunities and drive profitability across

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience
• 5+ years in scrap recycling, metals sales, commodity trading, industrial asset recovery, or related commercial role
• Strong business development, negotiation, and relationship management skills
• Knowledge of scrap markets, commodity pricing, and commercial contracting
• Strong analytical skills with experience using Microsoft Office and ERP systems
• Experience in the railroad, steel, manufacturing, foundry, or recycling industries is a plus

Responsibilities

• Develop strategy to maximize value of scrap materials, surplus inventory, used railroad ties, industrial equipment, rolling stock, and other assets across nationwide operations
• Identify emerging markets and build strategic relationships across North America
• Negotiate contracts and pricing to drive profitability for the business
• Collaborate with operations, leadership, and customers to create new revenue opportunities
• Analyze market intelligence to inform business development and pricing strategy
