Job summary

Spectrum Retirement Communities is seeking a full-time manager-level nurse position at The Enclave at Cedar Park. You will recruit, train, supervise, and staff a cohesive team and collaborate with physicians to implement resident care plans.

The role includes coordinating admissions with the care team and ensuring high-quality dementia care while meeting regulatory requirements. A Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in dementia care settings with staff supervision.
• Ability to assess resident needs and develop non-pharmacologic strategies.
• Experience in directing care for seniors in community or long-term settings.

Job Description

Schedule: Full-Time

In this position, your main responsibilities will include:

• Recruitment, selection, training, supervision, and staffing of team members.
• Discussing changes in resident condition with physicians, introduce interventions to reduce falls based on individual resident needs, etc. Also provide medication administration and help with resident care, as needed
• In conjunction with the community's multidisciplinary team, coordinate the resident admission process including screening, assessment and care planning.

This position may occasionally fill in on the weekend as a Manager-On-Duty.

Qualifications

To be successful in this position, we believe that you need the following experiences, strengths, and skills:

• Candidates may be considered with caregiver certifications beneficial to the community plus management experience.
• A Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing, Social Work, Psychology, or Gerontology preferred.
• Minimum 1-2 years of management experience in directing/providing dementia care for seniors preferred.
• A strong background in patient care assessment, assessing resident behavioral symptoms and developing non-pharmacologic approaches to meeting resident needs.
• Has experience in community or long-term care settings.
• Must meet all state requirements.
