Job summary

Spectrum Retirement Communities, LLC is seeking a Manager, Memory Care. LPN or RN required, full-time, with responsibility for leading the memory care team, overseeing recruitment, training, and staffing, and delivering resident-centered nursing care.

The role includes supervising care plans, coordinating admissions, and participating in a Manager-on-Duty rotation roughly every 6 weeks. State requirements must be met.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years of management experience in directing/providing dementia care for seniors preferred.
• Current Licensed Practical Nurse required.
• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing, Social Work, Psychology, or Gerontology preferred.

• Provide nursing care to residents, including health assessments, care plans, and medication administration.
• Coordinate the resident admission process in conjunction with the community’s multidisciplinary team.

Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, plus participation in a Manager on Duty rotation approximately every 6 weeks (Saturday and Sunday). In this position, your main responsibilities will include:

• Recruitment, selection, training, supervision, and staffing of team members.
• Provide nursing care to residents, including but not limited to: Completion of health assessments and resident care plans, discussing changes in resident condition with physicians, introduce interventions to reduce falls based on individual resident needs, etc. Also provide medication administration and help with resident care, as needed
• In conjunction with the community’s multidisciplinary team, coordinate the resident admission process including screening, assessment and care planning.

This position may occasionally fill in on the weekend as a Manager-On-Duty.

To be successful in this position, we believe that you need the following experiences, strengths, and skills:

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse required.
• Candidates may be considered with caregiver certifications beneficial to the community plus management experience.
• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing, Social Work, Psychology, or Gerontology preferred.
• Minimum 1-2 years of management experience in directing/providing dementia care for seniors preferred.
• A strong background in patient care assessment, assessing resident behavioral symptoms and developing non-pharmacologic approaches to meeting resident needs.
• Has experience in community or long-term care settings.
• Must meet all state requirements.
