Job summary

America’s Thrift in Alabama is looking for a Manager in Training to step into a full-time leadership role. You will gain broad operational experience while guiding store teams, upholding service standards, and supporting growth initiatives.

The program covers donations, merchandising, loss prevention, scheduling, and daily operations, with mentorship from the Manager III and a path to a permanent management assignment.

Qualifications

• Leadership and people-development skills to motivate, coach, and develop team members to deliver exceptional customer service and results.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach.
• Strong organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills with keen attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Bilingual preferred.
• Previous leadership experience managing a team of 15 or more employees.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
• Ability and willingness to relocate within Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia, or surrounding states.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing with access to reliable transportation.
• Successful completion of a background check, motor vehicle record check, and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Lead and delegate daily tasks to supervisors and team members to fulfill operational requirements.
• Verify deposits and currency exchanges and promptly alert management to cash, register, or operational concerns.
• Coach and develop team performance; provide feedback for improvement.
• Manage store operations including opening and closing procedures.
• Recruit, hire, onboarding, and training new team members as needed.
• Maintain merchandising standards and drive sales; analyze performance for improvements.
• Collaborate with Asset Protection and People & Culture to address incidents and maintain safety.
