Job summary

AutoZone’s Store Management team drives store performance, fosters a productive team, and ensures exceptional customer service. The Manager in Training (MIT) position is a transitional role designed to prepare you for promotion into a Retail Store Management position.

With a focus on leadership training, customer service excellence, and operational expertise, you’ll receive hands-on assignments and structured learning opportunities, with progression possible in 8–12 weeks.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a retail manager or supervisor.
• Bilingual Spanish and English preferred.
• Willing to work a full-time schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead a high-performing store team through leadership development.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with employees and customers to drive execution.
• Learn to manage monthly P&L statements to optimize profitability.
• Support store operations with structured training processes.
• Assist with staffing, mentoring, and training to build a strong team.
• Lead customer service activities and resolve concerns proactively.
• Oversee inventory accuracy, merchandising, and sales strategies.
• Complete management skills training and learn key store operations.
