Job summary

Gildan seeks a seasoned HR Manager to lead the day-to-day HR function at the Clarkton, NC manufacturing facility. You will partner with plant leadership to meet people needs, support recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, policy administration, and payroll, while promoting the Gildan brand in the community.

The role requires 5+ years of HR leadership in a 24/7 environment, HRIS/payroll experience (PeopleSoft, Dayforce, ADP preferred), and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• BS in HR or a related field; HR certification is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR leadership experience in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
• Experience with HRIS and payroll systems (PeopleSoft, Dayforce, ADP preferred).
• Proficient in MS Office and related systems; strong on-floor engagement.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day HR function at the Clarkton, NC facility.
• Collaborate with plant leadership to meet people needs of the business.
• Lead recruitment, selection and onboarding for the facility.
• Drive employee relations and engagement initiatives.

The work environment is a fully automated, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility that operates on a 24/7 schedule and employs approximately 160 associates. The HR Manager reports to the Director of HR for US Manufacturing. **The role*** Manage the day-to-day HR function at our Clarkton, NC manufacturing facility* Work with plant leadership to meet the people needs of the business* Support the manufacturing team by providing HR expertise and direction* Support recruitment, selection, and onboarding of talent for the facility* Lead employee relations and engagement efforts* Lead policy administration in accordance with company guidelines* Oversee time and attendance and payroll systems to meet the needs of the business* Promote the Gildan brand by engaging in community activities* Manage HR support staff **The requirement*** BS Degree in an HR or related field strongly preferred* HRCI or SHRM HR certification is a plus* Minimum of 5 years progressive HR leadership with experience in a 24/7 manufacturing environment preferred* Experience with HRIS and payroll systems (PeopleSoft, Dayforce, and ADP preferred)* Advanced computer competency in MS Office Suite and other systems is required* Ability to meet the needs of employees across all shifts (24/7 operation)* People-centric mentality with a desire to see teammates thrive* Approachable and engaging personality.
