Job summary

Gildan in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking a Senior Product Analyst to contribute to the Full Potential plan supporting Hanes Men's Underwear. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and execute business-driving strategies from consumer and market insights.

You will conduct ad hoc analyses, develop tracking reports, and support offerings strategy, inventory, and go-to-market efforts across sales and branding.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years relevant work experience; 4+ years of equivalent work experience can be substituted for Bachelor's degree.
  • Master's degree with 2+ years relevant work experience.
  • 3 years of merchandise planning, marketing, analytics, or project management.
  • Experience and focus on merchandising as a consumer advocate.
  • Experience in collaborating and partnering cross-functionally to drive the business.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data and derive actional insights.
  • Experience working on multiple projects and priorities.
  • Experience in leveraging consumer data to drive sales growth.

Responsibilities

  • Enter merchandise and assortment information into planning systems/ style master.
  • Support inventory analysis.
  • Create sell-in sheets for key customers, as directed.
  • Occasionally support sell in conversations with retail buyers.
  • Support merchandise and samples for sales meetings and photo shoots, as needed.

The opportunity

The Sr. Product Analyst is a key contributor in delivering the Gildan Full Potential plan supporting the iconic Hanes Men's Underwear business. The deliverables for this role focus on collaboration with cross functional teams to identify and execute business driving strategies derived from consumer and market insights.

The role
  • How you will make an impact
    • Collaborate across departments to ensure seamless execution of tasks for Hanes Men's Underwear
    • Conduct ad hoc analysis to drive profitable sales growth and market share
    • Support business initiatives to drive profitable growth
    • Develop tracking reports and regularly share insights related to sales, inventory metrics, share and newness performance.
  • Offering strategy
    • Data analytics to identify opportunity gaps, market trends and rationale to support seasonal opportunities
    • Work with sales teams to gather data in support of offering strategy decision-making
    • As directed, conduct ad hoc competitor analysis/ data gathering (e.g., in-store benchmarking of competitor shelf space, price points)
    • Partner with Insights team to support consumer research
  • Garment/ product design and development
    • Support tactical follow-ups to ensure C2C calendar is tracking, coordinating, as directed, with Supply Chain and CCO contacts as needed
    • Conduct analysis for item-level target margin decisions
    • Initial data entry for master style set-up
    • Partner with brand/creative services to develop and execution packaging
  • Sell to the customer
    • Create sell-in sheets for key customers, as directed
    • Support analysis of consumer needs, preferences and shopping behaviors
    • Occasionally support sell in conversations with retail buyers
    • Support merchandise and samples for sales meetings and photo shoots, as needed
  • Plan production/ produce the range
    • Enter merchandise and assortment information into planning systems/ style master
    • Support inventory analysis
The requirements
  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years relevant work experience; 4+ years of equivalent work experience can be substituted for Bachelor's degree.
