Job summary

Gildan is seeking an Industrial Engineer to support DC operations in Eden, NC. The role focuses on process improvements, budgeting, and cost reductions to drive efficiency across distribution and warehousing functions.

The candidate should have a BS in Industrial Engineering or related field and 3-5 years of experience in industrial engineering. Strong communication and organizational skills, plus proficiency in MS Office and WMS, are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for operations budget and capital expenditure budget.
• Work with Manhattan support on system problems.
• Support safety policies and goals.
• Seek short- and long-term cost reduction through process improvements, workplace and equipment enhancements, and layout changes.
• Assist management in achieving quality and productivity goals.
• Support operations in day-to-day problem resolution to facilitate growth of the business.
• Provide finance with process costing, special project labor/equipment costing, and annual budget planning.

What You'll Do

• Provide engineering support for operations budget and capital expenditure budget.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field
• 3 -5 years minimum in Industrial Engineering

• Communication with customer and multiple departments within organization both written and oral.
• Organizational Skills
• Must be proficient in Industrial Engineering and Distribution functions.
• Must have a general knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems.
• Requires excellent computer (MS Office) and communication skills.
• Requires knowledge of time study, pre-determined time systems, and incentive standards development.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Ability to work in a team-based environment.
• Ability to demonstrate flexibility to changing work priorities.
• Very strong attention to detail and organizational skills
