Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HR or related field.
  • 5+ years HR management experience with staffing, benefits and compensation oversight.
  • PHR/SPHR certification preferred.

The Human Resources Manager serves as a strategic business partner to organizational leadership and employees, leading the execution of enterprise-wide human resources strategies, policies, and programs. This role oversees all core HR functions, including talent acquisition, workforce planning, compensation and benefits, employee and labor relations, compliance, performance management, training and development, workplace safety, and HR records administration. The HR Manager ensures adherence to employment laws, regulatory requirements, corporate policies, and accreditation standards, including those established by The Joint Commission. Additionally, the position drives initiatives that foster a high-performing, employee-centered culture focused on engagement, accountability, professional growth, quality outcomes, and organizational success. The role also oversees the hospital’s volunteer services program to support and enhance patient and community services while ensuring compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and all applicable federal and state regulations related to disability rights and workplace accessibility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a strategic HR partner, aligning human resources initiatives with organizational goals and business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.
  • Develop, update, interpret, and communicate HR policies, procedures, and workforce programs.
  • Lead organizational change management initiatives, partnering with leadership to drive successful adoption and minimize operational disruption.
  • Maintain confidential employee records and ensure accurate HR reporting to corporate and government agencies.
  • Investigate and follow up on employee safety incidents, recommend corrective actions, and promote workplace safety.
  • Provide guidance and expertise to leaders and employees on HR policies, employee relations matters, and workforce management.
  • Foster a positive, fair, and inclusive work environment by addressing employee concerns and ensuring equitable treatment.
  • Administer and oversee compensation programs, including job evaluations, market analysis, and salary recommendations.
  • Manage employee benefits administration, vendor relationships, enrollment processes, and benefits issue resolution.
  • Support workforce planning and organizational effectiveness through HR strategy, process improvement, and employee productivity initiatives.
  • Develop and monitor departmental budgets, manage expenses, and exercise sound financial stewardship.
  • Establish, track, and achieve departmental goals, performance improvement initiatives, and strategic objectives.
  • Communicate effectively with leadership and staff through clear, timely, and professional verbal and written communications.
  • Enforce compliance with organizational policies, HIPAA, OSHA, Joint Commission standards, and other applicable regulations.
  • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop staff through performance management, goal setting, employee recognition, and career development activities.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide ongoing feedback, and address performance concerns promptly and appropriately.
  • Ensure employee compliance with required training, certifications, licensure, and continuing education requirements.
  • Promote cross-training and team development to strengthen workforce flexibility and operational continuity.
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned in support of organizational needs.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or Related Field
  • 5+ years HR Management Experience with staffing, benefits and compensation oversight
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional HR Certification (PHR/SPHR)

The pay range for this position is $114,260 - $171,390/hourly. Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
