Job summary

Shriners Children's Ohio is seeking a Nurse Manager for our Inpatient Unit to lead daily nursing practice, collaborate with medical and administrative leadership, and ensure safe, high-quality care for pediatric patients.

The role requires a BSN, active RN license in Ohio, at least five years of nursing experience and three years in a leadership role, with critical care background and BLS; pediatric experience and PALS/ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) required.
• Active RN license in state of practice required.
• 5 years’ nursing experience required.
• 3 years’ experience in a nursing leadership position required.
• Critical care experience; BLS certification required.
• Preferred: pediatric experience; PALS/ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• The Nurse Manager provides leadership in working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient care personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.
• The Nurse Manager maintains clinical skills and acts as both a clinical leader and resource nurse, as well as administrative leader, assuming 24-hour responsibility for the unit.
• This position will be responsible for overseeing daily nursing practice in an assigned department to ensure that safe and appropriate care is provided.
• The Nurse Manager will collaborate actively with medical, administrative, and interdisciplinary leadership to ensure optimal patient care outcomes.
