Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Manage department staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation to maintain appropriate patient care coverage.
  • Supervise, coach, and evaluate nursing staff performance, clinical competency, and adherence to organizational values and standards.
  • Coordinate onboarding, training, professional development, and ongoing education initiatives for staff.
  • Serve as a clinical resource and mentor, assisting staff with patient care challenges and supporting evidence-based practice.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative work environment through effective communication, staff engagement, and teamwork.
  • Lead performance improvement, quality assurance, and documentation review activities to enhance patient outcomes and operational effectiveness.
  • Participate in recruitment, interviewing, and retention efforts for department team members.
  • Support departmental compliance through emergency preparedness planning, Joint Commission readiness, occurrence investigations, and adherence to safety standards.
  • Demonstrate sound decision-making, problem-solving, financial management, and leadership skills while supporting departmental goals and organizational objectives.
  • Build strong relationships with physicians, patients, families, interdisciplinary teams, community partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Lead and participate in committees, projects, and initiatives that drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Under the leadership of the Director of Nursing, the care manager supervisor serves as both the clinical and administrative leader of the care management department. The care manager supervisor oversees the daily practice of nursing, social work, interpretive services, and resource coordination. The care management supervisor coordinates and supervises the care of pediatric patients and collaborates with other members of the health care team to plan, implement, and evaluate appropriate interventions. The care manager supervisor assists in planning, evaluating, organizing, supervising and implementing activities related to patient and operational processes in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures, regulatory standards, and in alignment with the standards of practice set forth by the American Nurses Association, the American Academy of Ambulatory Nurses, and the American Case Management Standards.

Key Responsibilities

The pay range for this position is $41.04-$70.35/hourly. Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
