Job summary

EY’s Government Contract Services (GCS) team helps organizations navigate the lifecycle of U.S. Government contracts and grants.

As a Manager in GCS, you will lead engagements, supervise teams, and deliver practical recommendations while applying regulatory expertise across FAR, CAS, DFARS and related standards. You’ll work with clients on pricing, cost accounting, audit readiness, and disputes, strengthening their systems and controls and driving compliant processes across procurement, billing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, law, finance, business or related field.
• 5 to 8 years’ relevant work experience.
• Possess at least one professional designation, such as CPA, CFE, CFA.
• Knowledge of FAR, CAS, DFARS, 2 CFR 200, SCLS, DBA/DBRA, IRA, and state prevailing wage laws.
• Ability to interpret and apply government acquisition, assistance awards, and labor standards regulations.
• Experience preparing technical responses to government audits and remediation.
• Client-facing experience with strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to manage engagement teams of 2–10 resources and work extended hours when needed.
• Willingness to travel and reliable transportation (driver’s license recommended).

Responsibilities

• Lead and support client engagements across the government contracting lifecycle.
• Manage workstreams and supervise team members while analyzing financial/operational data.
• Develop practical recommendations for compliance and process improvements.
• Assist clients with audits, responses, and remediation actions.
• Design compliant cost accounting structures supporting pricing, estimating, billing and procurement.
