The Role

The Global Events Manager - Trail will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing HOKA’s sports marketing strategy to amplify brand priorities & initiatives and construct/execute extraordinary consumer experiences. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Global Events, this individual will lead pinnacle trail event partnerships, such as Western States and the UTMB World Series & Finals, and participant activations that elevate brand storytelling, drive authentic engagement, and expand HOKA’s reach across all global markets (Americas, EMEA, Pacific, SEA, China, Japan).

The ideal candidate is an experienced event marketing professional with a proven track record of leading initiatives on a global level. They will have a deep understanding of the trail event landscape, a strategic approach to partnership management, and the ability to collaborate within a complex corporate structure. This is an individual contributor role requiring innovation, self-direction, and exceptional communication skills to work across multiple teams and stakeholders.

Your Impact

The primary functions of this role include, but are not limited to:

  1. Provide daily management and oversight of all global trail partnerships, including: event branding, event activation, licensed product coordination, seeding, digital organic content (Humans of HOKA) for all series/major/final events.
  2. Manage global trail partnership strategy, working with all HOKA cross-functional teams (brand marketing, product marketing, sales, PR, social, integrated marketing, etc.) to ensure consistency and achieve measurable results in all aspects of the program.
  3. Collaborate with internal teams (social, creative, PR, product, and regional marketing teams) to effectively plan for and execute integrated projects.
  4. Manage annual, quarterly, and project event budgets, including collecting invoices and documentation, and securing payments from outside contractors. Work with HOKA cross-functional teams, as well as all regions, to reconcile all budgetary expenses with strict adherence to internal processes and timelines.

  • Exceptional ability to foster relationships while moving the business forward.
  • Ability to effectively prepare and present information and respond to questions from management, clients, and other employees.
  • Experience working effectively in complex global organizations, satisfying diverse needs, often under pressure.

Salary: $110,000 - 120,000. The range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires in Goleta, CA. Actual pay will depend on location, skills, experience, and education. Recruiters will share specific details during hiring.
