Job summary

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) in Amarillo, TX is seeking a supervisor to lead a sub unit within a department, coordinating occupational health services and annual competency assessments for nursing and clinical staff.

• Supports occupational health needs for employees, faculty, residents, students, and volunteers.
• Coordinates and administers annual clinical competency assessments for nursing and clinical support staff.
• Monitors and maintain nursing and medical assistant licensure and certification compliance.
• Ensures adherence to institutional, regulatory, and accreditation requirements.
• Reduces organizational risk associated with expired credentials, incomplete competencies, and employee health compliance deficiencies.
• Enhances workforce onboarding, retention, employee well-being, and patient safety initiatives.

Position Description

Manages a sub unit within a department. Plans, organizes anddevelops goals and procedures. Represents the sub unit to administrators, outside agencies and others on relevant matters.Supervises subordinate staff.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with two years supervisory experience; OR acombination of education and/or supervisory experience to equal sixyears.

Preferred Qualifications

• LVN or RN license required.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications and electronichealth record systems.
• Knowledge of licensure, certification, and credential trackingprocesses preferred.
