Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center seeks a Nursing Supervisor to oversee clinical care delivery, supervise licensed nurses, and ensure compliance with policies. The role plans, organizes, directs, and evaluates patient care services, reporting to the Assistant Director of Nurses.

Responsibilities include monitoring patient data via EHR/EMR, ensuring staff education, investigating quality concerns, attending staff meetings, and maintaining adequate staffing levels.

Qualificações

• Graduate from an approved accredited nursing program.
• Current license as a Registered Nurse as approved by the Texas Board of Nursing.
• CPR certified.
• At least four years related experience.
• Minimum of 2 years in supervisory role.
• Registered Nurse with Associate's Degree in Nursing.

Responsabilidades

• Monitors communication of patient data using Electronic Health Record (EHR) to support decision-making for delivery of optimal patient care.
• Ensures nursing staff are properly educated and supervised to perform job functions.
• Investigate quality of care concerns.
• Attend meetings and share information with the staff in regular staff meetings.
• Personally assists with or performs exams and procedures and documents intervention in EMR.
• Performs investigation of accidents/injuries and generates occurrence reports for unexpected outcomes.
• Assist to assure that the unit is staffed with adequate numbers of appropriately trained licensed nurses.
• Responds to all request in a timely manner as required.
• Assist in planning, coordinating, directing management functions for the unit.
• Other duties as assigned.

About Managed Care

Since 1989, TTUHSC Managed Care has been providing clinical andoperational support to correctional facilities throughout WestTexas and other regional areas. We serve approximately 30,000patients utilizing a broad range of comprehensive medical andhealth services. TTUHSC Managed Care strives to positively impactthe lives of our patients, to include many who had no previousaccess to quality health care.

Visa Information

TTUHSC, at its sole discretion, may initiate new H-1B I-129 visa petitions in accordance with the directive issued by GovernorAbbott. Position Description

Supervises and delegates nursing care to members of the health careteam. May perform care based on staffing needs. Functions withinlegal scope of practice and in accordance with the policies andprocedures of the organization and practice setting. Plans,organizes, directs, and evaluates patient care services.Individual(s) in this position generally assist the AssistantDirector of Nurses. Provides supervision and direction tosubordinate nursing staff to ensure a safe, efficient, andprofessional environment.

Required Qualifications

Graduate from an approved accredited nursing program. Currentlicense as a Registered Nurse as approved by the Texas Board ofNursing or have the ability to transfer RN license to Texas. CPRcertified. At least four years related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in supervisory role
• CPR Certification
• Registered Nurse with Associate's Degree in Nursing
