Job summary

Exyte US, Inc. is seeking an experienced EHS Manager to partner with project leadership and field teams to drive an Incident Free Workplace culture. You will compile EHS policies, manage safety personnel, and lead training and client-focused safety initiatives across projects.

The role requires a strong background in EHS construction management, certification, and the ability to implement safety programs and conduct audits, ensuring regulatory compliance and safe project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in safety, environmental or engineering fields preferred.
• Professional certification (CSP/CIH/CHMM/PE/STSC) required.
• 10–15+ years in EHS construction management.
• 5+ years in project scope (ATF, DTC, BLS).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent organization and coordination abilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Familiar with safety platforms (ACC, DMCS, Avetta, ISN, Veriforce, Highwire).

Responsibilities

• Advise project leadership and field personnel to ensure Incident Free Workplace culture.
• Develop and maintain EHS policies and procedures for compliance.
• Manage safety-related personnel and staffing.
• Identify training requirements for regional employees.
• Assist in implementing Global Best Practice and client presentations.
• Provide safety guidance to management on EHS issues.
• Support new work pursuits and project start-up.
• Design and implement safety programs to prevent unsafe conditions.
• Coordinate with client safety organizations and develop project safety plans.
• Audit Company workplaces for EHS compliance and report KPIs.

The EHS Manager works with and advises project leadership and field personnel ensuring
implementation of the company’s Incident Free Workplace Culture.

Explore your tasks and responsibilities

• Explore your tasks and responsibilities
• Compiles and maintains Health, Environmental, and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures, and ensures compliance with legislative and Company requirements
• Manages Company safety related employees and personnel
• Identifies safety related training requirements for all designated Regional employees
• Assists in implementing Company Global Best Practice / Best Known Methods
• Provides advice to Company management regarding EHS issues
• Assists Management with new work pursuits, including preparing safety prequalification and client presentations
• Assists Management with new project start up
• Assists in design and implementation of safety programs to prevent or correct unsafe working conditions, utilizing knowledge of engineering technology, industrial processes, mechanics, chemistry, psychology, industrial health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices
• Supports and advises project management in the effective implementation of EHS policies and procedures
• Facilitate training as necessary
• Facilitates the Company objective of maintaining an “Incident Free Workplace”, promoting safety awareness and ownership in the designated Region
• Maintains contact and coordinates with client safety organizations
• Develops project safety plans and specifications
• Ensures project management risk assessments and activity related hazards are completed
• Undertakes formal auditing of Company workplaces to gauge compliance with Company EHS policies and procedures. Audits for a successful safety culture
• Report on project KPIs
• Manage EHS document control
• Is involved with design safety as needed

Show your expertise

• Bachelor’s degree in safety, Environmental, Environmental Sciences, Engineering, Chemistry or an applied science field preferred
• Must have one of the following Professional Certifications/License: -
  -Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
  -Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)
  -Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM)
  -Professional Engineer License (PE)
  -Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST)
  -Safety Trained Supervisor Construction (STSC)
• 10 – 15+ years of experience in EHS Construction Management
• 5+ years of experience in the project scop i.e., ATF, DTC, BLS
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Exceptional organization and coordination skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft products (e.g. Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, etc.)
• Familiarity with digital platforms, ACC, DMCS, Avetta, ISN, Veriforce, Highwire etc.
