Job summary

Exyte US, Inc. is seeking an EHS Manager to work with project leadership and field teams to foster an Incident Free Workplace culture across Cambridge-based projects.

You will develop and maintain EHS policies, lead training programs, perform audits, and coordinate with clients and safety organizations to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in safety or related field preferred.
  • Professional certifications preferred (CSP, CIH, CHMM, PE, CHST, STSC).
  • 10–15+ years in EHS construction management.
  • 5+ years in project scope management (ATF, DTC, BLS).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Compiles and maintains EHS policies and ensures compliance with laws and company requirements.
  • Manages company safety-related employees and personnel.
  • Identifies safety training requirements for designated regional employees.
  • Assists in implementing Global Best Practice / Best Known Methods.
  • Provides advice to management on EHS issues.
  • Assists management with new work pursuits, including safety prequalification and client presentations.
  • Assists management with new project startup.
  • Assists in designing and implementing safety programs using engineering, chemistry, and safety standards.
  • Supports project management in implementing EHS policies and procedures.
  • Facilitates training as necessary.
  • Promotes an Incident Free Workplace and safety awareness in the region.
  • Maintains contact with client safety organizations.
  • Develops project safety plans and specifications.
  • Ensures risk assessments and hazard analysis for activities.
  • Audits workplaces for compliance with EHS policies; supports safety culture.
  • Reports on project KPIs.
  • Manages EHS document control.
  • Involved in design safety as needed.
  • All duties are not inclusive.

Explore Your Tasks And Responsibilities
  • Compiles and maintains Health, Environmental, and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures, and ensures compliance with legislative and Company requirements
  • Manages Company safety related employees and personnel
  • Identifies safety related training requirements for all designated Regional employees
  • Assists in implementing Company Global Best Practice / Best Known Methods
  • Provides advice to Company management regarding EHS issues
  • Assists Management with new work pursuits, including preparing safety prequalification and client presentations
  • Assists Management with new project start up
  • Assists in design and implementation of safety programs to prevent or correct unsafe working conditions, utilizing knowledge of engineering technology, industrial processes, mechanics, chemistry, psychology, industrial health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices
  • Supports and advises project management in the effective implementation of EHS policies and procedures
  • Facilitate training as necessary
  • Facilitates the Company objective of maintaining an “Incident Free Workplace”, promoting safety awareness and ownership in the designated Region
  • Maintains contact and coordinates with client safety organizations
  • Develops project safety plans and specifications
  • Ensures project management risk assessments and activity related hazards are completed
  • Undertakes formal auditing of Company workplaces to gauge compliance with Company EHS policies and procedures. Audits for a successful safety culture
  • Report on project KPIs
  • Manage EHS document control
  • Is involved with design safety as needed
  • All duties are not inclusive
Show Your Expertise
  • Bachelor’s degree in safety, Environmental, Environmental Sciences, Engineering, Chemistry or an applied science field preferred
  • Must have one of the following Professional Certifications/License: -
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
  • Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)
  • Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM)
  • Professional Engineer License (PE)
  • Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST)
  • Safety Trained Supervisor Construction (STSC)
  • 10-15+ years of experience in EHS Construction Management
  • 5+ years of experience in the project scop i.e., ATF, DTC, BLS
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Exceptional organization and coordination skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft products (e.g. Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, etc.)
  • Familiarity with digital platforms, ACC, DMCS, Avetta, ISN, Veriforce, Highwire etc.
