Job summary

Exyte US, Inc. is seeking an experienced EHS Manager to partner with project leadership and field personnel to implement an incident-free workplace culture across our Wisconsin projects and beyond.

You will develop and maintain comprehensive EHS policies, lead training, perform risk assessments, and help prepare safety prequalification materials for client presentations. The role requires strong communication, organization, and leadership skills to drive safety excellence on complex construction

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in safety, Environmental, Environmental Sciences, Engineering, Chemistry or an applied science field preferred
• Must hold one of the following Professional Certifications/License: CSP, CIH, CHMM, PE, CHST, STSC

Responsibilities

• Compiles and maintains Health, Environmental, and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures, and ensures compliance with legislative and Company requirements
• Manages safety-related employees and personnel
• Implements safety programs to prevent unsafe working conditions
• Supports project management in implementing EHS policies and procedures
• Develops project safety plans and specifications
• Conducts audits to gauge compliance with EHS policies and procedures
• Reports on project KPIs
• Maintains EHS document control
• Assists management with new work pursuits and client prequalification

The EHS Manager works with and advises project leadership and field personnel ensuring implementation of the company's Incident Free Workplace Culture.

Explore your tasks and responsibilities

• Compiles and maintains Health, Environmental, and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures, and ensures compliance with legislative and Company requirements
• Manages Company safety related employees and personnel
• Identifies safety related training requirements for all designated Regional employees
• Assists in implementing Company Global Best Practice / Best Known Methods
• Provides advice to Company management regarding EHS issues
• Assists Management with new work pursuits, including preparing safety prequalification and client presentations
• Assists Management with new project start up
• Assists in design and implementation of safety programs to prevent or correct unsafe working conditions, utilizing knowledge of engineering technology, industrial processes, mechanics, chemistry, psychology, industrial health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices
• Supports and advises project management in the effective implementation of EHS policies and procedures
• Facilitate training as necessary
• Facilitates the Company objective of maintaining an "Incident Free Workplace", promoting safety awareness and ownership in the designated Region
• Maintains contact and coordinates with client safety organizations
• Develops project safety plans and specifications
• Ensures project management risk assessments and activity related hazards are completed
• Undertakes formal auditing of Company workplaces to gauge compliance with Company EHS policies and procedures. Audits for a successful safety culture
• Report on project KPIs
• Manage EHS document control
• Is involved with design safety as needed

Show your expertise

• Bachelor's degree in safety, Environmental, Environmental Sciences, Engineering, Chemistry or an applied science field preferred
• Must have one of the following Professional Certifications/License: -
  -Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
  -Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)
  -Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM)
  -Professional Engineer License (PE)
  -Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST)
  -Safety Trained Supervisor Construction (STSC)
• 10 - 15+ years of experience in EHS Construction Management
• 5+ years of experience in the project scop i.e., ATF, DTC, BLS
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Exceptional organization and coordination skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft products (e.g. Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, etc.)
• Familiarity with digital platforms, ACC, DMCS, Avetta, ISN, Veriforce, Highwire etc.
