Job summary

Collins Aerospace, part of RTX, is seeking a Manager, Component Engineering Services & Support in Cedar Rapids, IA or Melbourne, FL. You will lead a CE services team, ensuring timely component specifications and data tables while complying with Global Trade requirements.

The role collaborates across Design Eng., Manufacturing, Program Management, Procurement, and Quality to release specifications on time.

Qualifications

  • A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.
  • 5+ years of experience drafting and maintaining engineering documentation.
  • 3+ years of experience interpreting engineering drawings and vendor data sheets.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor and grow a team of experienced professionals.
  • Develop operational plans with direct impact on planning activities and the achievement of results; leads in the development of integration for technical activities.
  • Responsible for implementing product design and changes.
  • Present written reports to senior level management for review, provides secondary approval for expenditures, enforces company policies, and makes decisions about the purchase of materials and services based on spending requirements.
  • Advises engineers on technical support for a variety of tasks.
  • Implements business and strategic planning processes.
  • Responsible for implementing short and long-term organization goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
  • Drive continuous improvements within the component specification process to improve first pass yield completions.

Manager, Component Engineering Services & Support

We have an immediate need for a Manager, Component Engineering Services & Support in our Cedar Rapids, IA facility OR Melbourne, FL facility to lead the Component Engineering (CE) Services team. This team is responsible for creating, modifying, and maintaining all CE component specifications and data tables while ensuring compliance with all Global Trade requirements across Collins. Role often collaborates with key stakeholders in Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Program Management, Procurement, Quality, etc. communities to ensure timely release of component specifications. Position is on-site in Cedar Rapids, IA OR Melbourne , FL Relocation assistance will be provided.

The Operations team continues to grow and aims to strengthen the connection of Manufacturing Operations, Supply Chain and Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) across Collins Aerospace. Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD.

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
