Job summary

RTX's Collins Aerospace division in Texas is seeking a hands-on manufacturing technician for 1st shift (7:00 AM–3:30 PM). You will read blueprints, operate hand and electrical tools, and maintain workstation inventory.

Ideal candidates have a HS diploma and experience in manufacturing, a proactive, self-directed mindset, and the ability to collaborate in a team to meet quality standards while following safety procedures.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent; experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Experience reading blueprints, diagrams, and engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with hand tools, electrical tools, and measuring equipment.
• Self-directed with ability to work in a team to resolve issues.

Responsibilities

• Reads, interprets, and follows blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions.
• Operates hand tools, electrical tools, hand cutters, measuring equipment and light equipment.

What You Will Do:

• Reads, interprets, and follows blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions.
• Operates hand tools, electrical tools, hand cutters, measuring equipment and light equipment.
• Maintains inventory of product in workstations.
• Performs quality work checks, identifies product defects and records identified defects.
• Reworks and/or repairs assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes.
• Performs all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.
• Maintains a clean and safe work area.

Qualifications you must have:

• Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) Experience within a Manufacturing environment
• Qualification we prefer: Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and engineering drawings to assemble equipment.
• Experience with any of the following: hand tools, electrical tools, hand cutters, measuring equipment and light equipment.
• Self-directed & action oriented with the ability to work in a team environment to resolve most questions and problems.
• Relevant manufacturing, assembly, and/or construction / facilities experience
