Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior contracts and business management professional to lead proposals, pricing strategies, and negotiation oversight for aerospace government contracts. You will review RFPs, BOEs, indirect rates, and FAR clauses while coordinating contracts, pricing, and program planning.

The role requires US government contract experience, 9+ years of related experience (or advanced degrees with fewer years), leadership ability, and the ability to obtain SAP and Secret clearances.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 9+ years of Aerospace industry experience, or advanced degrees with commensurate experience.
• Experience in proposal preparation and BOE preparation/evaluations.
• 4+ years in US Government contracts.
• 2+ years of leadership experience (leading direct reports or IPTs).
• Experience managing financial goals and monthly reporting.
• Experience presenting business strategies and risk assessments to leadership.
• Ability to obtain SAP clearance and Secret clearance.
• Ability to travel 10%+.

Responsibilities

• Develop proposals from draft RFP to award, including review of RFP and FAR clauses, subcontractor flow-down coordination, basis of estimates, indirect rates, pricing strategies, cash management, negotiation strategy and oversight, and presentation to Senior Management
• Provide business oversight and oversee contract negotiation strategies for assigned business
• Coordinate and lead business management functions including contracts, pricing, proposal development, accounting, program planning and financial control, financial planning, and program scheduling
• Provide financial business analysis and reporting and communicate financial program status and analyses to senior management
• Partner with program leadership to develop and manage financial goals, establish and implement capture strategies, manage NCTA and capital investments, and support EVMS implementation and analysis as required
• Coordinate cost and schedule analyses and prepare reports to ensure contracts meet negotiated cost and schedule parameters and government cost control guidelines
• Manage risks across multiple contract types from execution and financial perspectives

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university and 9 years of related Aerospace Industry experience, or a master's degree and 7 years, or a PhD from an accredited university and 5 years of related Aerospace Industry experience
• Prior experience in proposal preparation and BOE preparation and evaluations
• 4 years’ experience in US Government contracts
• 2+ years of Leadership experience, either leading direct reports or integrated product teams
• Experience with all aspects/phases of Business Management in developing and managing financial goals and overseeing monthly financial reporting
• Experience developing and presenting business strategies, financial information, and risk assessments to leadership teams
• Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs
• Ability to travel 10+% of the time
• U.S. Citizenship is required for positions with a government clearance and certain other restricted positions
