- Oversee integration and management of multiple complex projects and major systems
- Ensure successful customer relationships, cost control, scheduling, and technical execution
- Manage programs with budgets of $20M or more
- Supervise project staff and handle high-risk cost and schedule considerations
- Lead proposal tasks from initial customer interaction through contract award
- Manage program cost, schedule, technical execution, and risk
- Represent SNC at customer meetings as the primary customer point of contact
- Collaborate with SNC contracts and government contracts representatives on contractual requirements
- Manage cross-functional teams located at various facilities and ensure adequate resourcing
- Analyze program metrics and indicators, identify issues, and formulate mitigation strategies
- Brief executive leadership on cost, schedule, technical, and risk status
- Develop and maintain the Product Line strategic roadmap with Business Development and the Chief Engineer
- Grow the Product Line and Business Unit business base
- Ensure program and team compliance with SNC policies and procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Project Management, Management, Engineering or related field, or 12 years of related experience in lieu of a degree
- 8+ years of progressive experience in project or program management in the Aerospace and Defense industry
- 3+ years leading medium-scale projects spanning 1–2 years and teams of 5+ cross-functional members
- Experience evaluating requests for proposals and/or quotes
- Experience preparing, reviewing, and submitting proposals and/or quotes
- Experience managing a complex project or larger program
- Experience with team building, time management, conflict resolution, communication, briefing, presentation, strategic thinking, marketing, and program management disciplines
- Demonstrated financial acumen
- Ability to coordinate all elements of a program, including program integration management
- Ability to perform task coordination, resource development, and stakeholder identification
- Ability to manage lifecycle conflicts, prioritize competing priorities/requests, and evaluate resourcesAbility to identify, assess, and control financial, technical, and legal risks
- Leadership abilities including change management, mentoring, career development, training, succession planning, accountability, and yearly reviews
- Ability to manage complex situations, delegate authority, lead and inspire teams, drive innovation, foster collaboration, adapt to dynamic situations, and challenge the status quo
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Occasional travel may be required
- Preferred: PMP certification, advanced degree, FAR/DFARS knowledge, CMMI/agile/spiral development, Earned Value Management, application tools and data architectures, Corporate PM tools, ISO 9001:2000 policies and processes
