Job summary

The City of Goleta seeks a qualified Management Analyst to support the General Services Department with citywide administrative, analytical, and project management duties. Responsibilities include asset management for facilities, fleet, and IT; coordinating with vendors; and managing grants and contracts.

The ideal candidate will be highly organized, able to juggle multiple priorities, and collaborate with departments, vendors, and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in public administration, business administration, or a related field.
• Two years of responsible administrative and analytical experience, preferably within a local government.
• Experience collecting, compiling, and analyzing data involving financial, budgetary, operational, or administrative issues.
• Knowledge of municipal programs including purchasing, human resources, risk management, finance, budgeting, and related governmental programs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with comprehensive citywide administrative and analytical projects.
• Manage asset management for City facilities, fleet, and information technology.
• Coordinate with the City’s third-party managed service provider and other technology vendors.
• Develop and implement IT policies, governance frameworks, and projects.
• Administer grants and monitor grant budgets; support procurement activities and contract management.
• Support property acquisitions, leases, and tenant relations.
• Participate on the City’s Logistics Team in the Emergency Operations Center.
