Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Breast and X-Ray Center is seeking a Mammography Technologist for a full-time role in Georgia. You will perform high-quality mammography exams, ensure patient comfort, and maintain accurate documentation in PACS/RIS.

The position emphasizes safety, efficiency, and teamwork within a fast-paced imaging department. Educational requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent and an accredited Radiologic Technology program, plus ARRT-R and ARRT-M certifications with BLS.

Qualifications

• Education and certifications required to perform radiologic procedures.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program is required.
• Minimum 1 year of radiologic technologist experience and 1 year of mammography experience in a hospital.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography exams per physician order and protocol.
• Ensure patient safety, privacy, and comfort during exams.
• Review images for quality and documentation in PACS/RIS; maintain first-time accuracy.
• Complete required QC tests and ensure correct labeling and dosage optimization.
• Provide clear pre- and post-exam instructions and assist with training of team members.
