Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Breast and X-Ray Center seeks a Mammography Technologist to provide safe, high‑quality imaging while supporting patients with clear, compassionate communication. This part‑time opportunity offers a stable schedule within a collaborative clinical team.

Responsibilities include performing mammography exams, ensuring image quality, and maintaining equipment per guidelines. The role requires ARRT‑R/ARRT‑M, BLS, and at least 1 year of radiology and mammography experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT-R and ARRT-M certifications required.
• BLS certification required per American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography exams per physician order and protocol.
• Confirm patient identity with two identifiers and gather relevant history; explain exam clearly.
• Position patients safely, assist with transfers, and protect privacy and comfort.
• Review images for quality and first-time acceptance before releasing patients.
• Document images in PACS/RIS and complete daily charge capture.
• Maintain equipment, follow infection control/FDA guidelines, and keep the suite clean.
