Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Breast and X-Ray Center is seeking a part-time Mammography Technologist to provide high-quality imaging. You will perform mammography exams, explain procedures to patients, and ensure privacy and comfort while maintaining image quality and documentation.

The role requires ARRT-R and ARRT-M certifications, BLS, and at least 1 year of radiology and mammography experience. This is a part-time position with a schedule that supports work-life balance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT-R and ARRT-M certifications are required or pending.
• BLS certification required for patient safety and care.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography exams per physician order and protocol.
• Explain the exam and address patient questions to reduce anxiety.
• Maintain patient privacy, comfort, and proper positioning.
• Review images for quality and completeness; ensure first-pass acceptance.
• Document and label images accurately in PACS/RIS; manage daily charge capture.
• Operate mammography equipment safely and maintain infection control.
• Complete QC tests and ensure equipment readiness per guidelines.
• Provide clear pre- and post-exam instructions; assist and train teammates.
