Wellstar Cobb Breast and X-Ray Center is seeking a part-time Mammography Technologist to provide high-quality imaging and compassionate care. This role emphasizes accurate imaging, patient communication, and teamwork within a busy radiology department.

Qualifications

• Completed radiologic technology program and eligible for ARRT credentialing.
• Minimum 1 year of Radiologic Technologist experience and 1 year in mammography.
• Demonstrated knowledge of AIDET communication and patient safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography exams per physician order and protocol.
• Verify patient identity using two identifiers.
• Explain the exam and provide comfort to reduce anxiety.
• Protect patient privacy and dignity during positioning and transfers.
• Review images for quality and accuracy before release.
• Operate mammography equipment safely and maintain infection control.
• Complete QC tests and document results (ACR/MQSA, QA).
• Label, organize, and document images in PACS/RIS; ensure daily charge capture.
• Maintain a clean, stocked, and compliant mammography suite.
• Provide pre- and post-exam instructions and address patient questions.
• Assist with training new team members and stay current with required education.
