Job summary

Aura Health in Georgia seeks a Mammography Technologist to support multiple imaging sites within a regional float team. You will deliver high-quality, safe mammography imaging while ensuring a positive patient experience.

Responsibilities include performing exams, reviewing image quality, maintaining documentation in PACS/RIS, and supporting training of new staff in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 2 years of hospital-based Radiologic Technologist and Mammography experience.
• ARRT-R, ARRT-M and BLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography exams following physician orders and protocols.
• Gather patient history, explain procedures, and ensure patient comfort and safety.
• Review images for quality and document procedures accurately.
• Operate mammography equipment safely and optimize imaging techniques.
• Conduct quality control tests and comply with ACR/MQSA/FDA standards.
• Ensure proper image labeling, documentation in PACS/RIS, and keep suite stocked.
• Assist in emergencies and train new staff while communicating professionally.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform mammography exams following physician orders and protocols.
• Gather patient history, explain procedures, and ensure patient comfort and safety.
• Review images for quality, maintain first-time acceptance standards, and accurately document procedures.
• Operate mammography equipment safely, optimize imaging techniques, and uphold infection control standards.
• Conduct quality control tests, maintain compliance with regulatory standards (ACR, MQSA, FDA).
• Ensure proper image labeling, documentation in PACS/RIS, and maintain a clean, stocked suite.
• Assist in emergencies, support training of new staff, and communicate professionally with patients and team members.

Qualifications & Skills

• High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 2 years of hospital-based Radiologic Technologist and Mammography experience.
• Certifications: ARRT-R (Radiography), ARRT-M (Mammography), BLS (American Heart Association).
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, pathology, positioning, radiation safety, and mammography best practices.
