Job summary

Black Women's Mental Health Institute in Powder Springs, GA, is seeking a Radiologic Technologist specializing in mammography. You will perform exams, ensure patient safety, review images, and maintain compliance with standards.

The role requires ARRT-R, ARRT-M, BLS certifications, 2 years hospital Mammography experience, and strong teamwork and communication. This is a full-time, on-site position with flexible shifts and benefits.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Minimum 2 years of hospital-based Radiologic Technologist and Mammography experience.
  • Certifications in ARRT-R, ARRT-M, and BLS from the American Heart Association.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, pathology, positioning, radiation safety, and imaging best practices.
  • Excellent communication, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Perform mammography exams following physician orders and protocols, ensuring patient identification and safety.
  • Gather patient history, explain procedures, and address patient concerns to reduce anxiety.
  • Operate imaging equipment safely, optimize image quality, and maintain equipment cleanliness.
  • Review images for quality, ensure proper labeling, and document procedures accurately in PACS/RIS.
  • Maintain compliance with quality control standards and keep detailed records supporting accreditation and safety protocols.
  • Assist with patient transfers, uphold patient dignity, and support team collaboration in a fast-paced environment.
  • Provide clear instructions, support training of new staff, and communicate professionally with patients and team members.

The technologist applies expertise to operate mammography equipment, review images, and maintain compliance with standards.

Key Responsibilities
