Mercy Health's Allen Hospital in Ohio is seeking a Registered Mammography Technologist to perform breast imaging and DEXA scans following ARRT, ACR, and MQSA guidelines. This PRN position supports diagnostic imaging under physician supervision.

The role requires ARRT Diagnostic Radiology registration, mammography certification, and state licensure where applicable, plus BLS. You will operate imaging equipment, ensure patient safety, educate patients, and participate in quality improvement

Qualifications

• Certification and Registration with ARRT in Diagnostic Radiology (required)
• Advanced modality registration in Mammography ARRT (preferred, or must obtain within 1 year)
• State Licensure (preferred, unless required by state)
• BLS Basic Life Support (required at hire for most Mercy Health locations)

Responsibilities

• Performs all breast imaging and DEXA procedures.
• Assists radiologist in invasive breast procedures with aseptic technique and consent.
• Correlates patient history with procedure and conveys information to the licensed provider.
• Operates breast imaging equipment and selects exposure factors.
• Applies radiation protection to minimize exposure.
• Ensures patient safety throughout procedures.
• Provides patient education and discharge instructions.
• Participates in quality assessments and improvement plans.
