Job summary

Washington Radiology in Washington, DC is seeking a Mammography Technologist to join our team at a new state-of-the-art facility. The role involves performing mammography procedures, assisting radiologists, and delivering high-quality patient care.

We offer advanced technology, a competitive hourly rate of $45.00 to $55.00, a comprehensive benefits package, paid parking, gym access, and a central location near public transportation.

Qualifications

  • Current ARRT in Mammography certification or eligible to take advanced level exam with documentation of clinical experience.
  • Completion of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology
  • Continuing Education: MQSA/FDA- 15 CEU's every 3 years, 200-documented case numbers every 2 years.
  • Experience with diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides services and support for the following areas: prepares for and assists the Radiologist in the completion of intricate mammography examinations, including breast biopsies.
  • Produces high-quality films for the radiologist to evaluate.
  • Effectively communicates to patients the procedures and educate women about the role of regular mammography in preventative breast health.
  • Maintains patient-first focus at all times and exhibits outstanding customer service skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate on an individual and small group basis to doctors, patients, and other employees.
  • Consistently practice excellent mammography positioning and exposure technique.
  • Completes appropriate documentation.
  • Performs quality control functions related to mammography.
  • Assists in the compilation and maintenance of statistical data.
  • Promotes privacy and comfort for the patient.
