Job summary

Solis Mammography is seeking a Mammography Technologist in Grand Prairie, TX. You will operate mammography equipment and perform diagnostic procedures with a focus on accurate positioning and patient care.

The role requires TX TMB licensure, ARRT mammography certification (or eligibility), and completion of a two-year radiologic tech program. Sign-on bonus up to $7,500 and relocation assistance available for qualified technologists.

Qualifications

• Texas Medical Board License (TMB) required.
• ARRT Mammography certification or eligible with clinical experience."
• Completion of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• MQSA/FDA: 15 CEU every 3 years and 200 documented cases every 2 years.
• Experience with ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates x-ray equipment for mammography and related diagnostic procedures.
• Maintains high accuracy in positioning and exposure technique.
• Communicates procedures to patients and educates women on the importance of regular screening.
• Collaborates with doctors and staff to ensure patient-centered care and efficient workflow.
• Performs additional duties as assigned by the department.

Work Location

Grand Prairie, TX

Work Hours

Full-Time, Monday-Friday 6:45am-3:30pm. (One Saturday per month 8:00am-12:00pm)

The Mammography Technologist operates x-ray equipment and performs a variety of mammography-related diagnostic procedures. Individual must maintain a high degree of accuracy in positioning and exposure technique.

Here Is What You Will Need

• Texas Medical Board License - TMB
• Current ARRT in Mammography certification or eligible to take advanced level exam with documentation of clinical experience.
• Completion of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology
• Continuing Education: MQSA/FDA- 15 CEU’s every 3 years, 200-documented case numbers every 2 years.
• Experience with diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies is preferred.

A Day In The Life Of a Mammography Technologist

• Provide services and support for the following areas:
• Understands, promotes and demonstrates the Solis Way
• Consistently practices excellent mammography positioning and exposure technique;
• Ability to effectively communicate to patients the procedures and educate women about the role of regular mammography in preventative breast health;
• Ability to effectively communicate on an individual and small group basis to doctors, patients, and other employees;
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and sometimes complicated, written or oral instructions;
• Must maintain patient-first focus at all times and exhibit outstanding customer service skills;
• Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
