Job summary

Solis Mammography seeks a dedicated Mammography Technologist for their McKinney, TX location. The role requires TX licensure, ARRT Mammography certification (or eligibility) and two years of radiologic technology training.

MQSA continuing education and a non-restricted state license are also needed. Responsibilities include operating x-ray equipment, performing diagnostic mammography, and ensuring accurate positioning with high quality imaging.

Qualifications

• Texas Medical Board License (TMB) required.
• ARRT Mammography certification or eligible with documented clinical experience.
• Completion of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• MQSA/FDA continuing education (15 CEU’s every 3 years) with documented cases.
• Ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate x-ray equipment and perform mammography-related diagnostic procedures with high accuracy in positioning and exposure.
• Provide patient-focused, compassionate care in line with Solis Mammography standards.
• Maintain current ARRT Mammography certification or MQSA-qualified status and comply with continuing education requirements.
• Participate in ongoing quality control and adherence to MQSA and ARRT guidelines.
• Read, write, and comprehend medical terminology; maintain non-restricted licensure in state.

Work Location: McKinney, TX

Work Hours: Full‑Time, Monday‑Friday 8:00am‑4:30pm, occasionally 7:00am‑3:30pm. (One Saturday shift required every other month).

The Mammography Technologist operates x‑ray equipment and performs a variety of mammography‑related diagnostic procedures. The individual must maintain a high degree of accuracy in positioning and exposure technique.

Here Is What You Will Need

• Texas Medical Board License - TMB
• Current ARRT in Mammography certification or eligible to take advanced level exam with documentation of clinical experience.
• Completion of a two‑year approved School of Radiologic Technology
• Continuing Education: MQSA/FDA - 15 CEU’s every 3 years, 200‑documented case numbers every 2 years.
• Experience with diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies is preferred.

A Day In The Life Of a Mammography Technologist

Provide services and support for the following areas:

• Completion of a formal radiologic technology training program and hold current certification by ARRT in Radiography;
• ARRT advanced level certification in mammography with documentation of clinical experience, or
• MQSA qualified and (M) registry eligible;
• Current on all required continuing education and continuing experience as required by MQSA and ARRT;
• High School Diploma; Associates degree preferred;
• Must possess non‑restricted licensure in state work location;
• Knowledge of database software, RIS/PACS software is preferred;
• Two years of experience in mammography is preferred;
• Experience with diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies is preferred;
• Prior quality control experience preferred;
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend medical terminology;
