Job summary

Solis Mammography seeks a Mammography Technologist to perform mammography and related diagnostic procedures at our Plano, TX facility. You will maintain precise positioning, ensure exposure accuracy, and educate patients on the role of regular breast screening. A Texas license and ARRT Mammography certification are required or eligible.

Qualified candidates may receive a sign-on bonus up to $7,500 and relocation assistance. The schedule is full-time, Mon–Fri, with some weekend shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Texas Medical Board License – TMB is required.
• Current ARRT Mammography certification or eligible.
• Completion of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Continuing Education: MQSA/FDA 15 CEUs every 3 years, 200 documented case numbers every 2 years.
• Experience with diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide mammography services and related diagnostic procedures.
• Maintain high accuracy in positioning and exposure techniques.
• Educate patients about mammography and the importance of regular screening.
• Communicate effectively with doctors, patients, and other staff.
• Maintain a patient-first focus and outstanding customer service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Location: 3801 W 15th St, Building B, Suite 150A Plano, TX 75075

Work Hours: Full-Time, Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm. (1-2 Saturday shifts per month required)

The Mammography Technologist operates x-ray equipment and performs a variety of mammography-related diagnostic procedures. Individual must maintain a high degree of accuracy in positioning and exposure technique.

A Day In The Life Of a Mammography Technologist

• Provide services and support for the following areas:
• Understands, promotes and demonstrates the Solis Way
• Consistently practices excellent mammography positioning and exposure technique;
• Ability to effectively communicate to patients the procedures and educate women about the role of regular mammography in preventative breast health;
• Ability to effectively communicate on an individual and small group basis to doctors, patients, and other employees;
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and sometimes complicated, written or oral instructions;
• Must maintain patient-first focus at all times and exhibit outstanding customer service skills;
• Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
