Job summary

At Solis Mammography in Prosper, TX, the Mammography Technologist delivers high-quality diagnostic imaging with careful patient positioning and accuracy. This full-time role supports breast health, works with ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsy when needed, and participates in our patient-centered care approach.

Candidates must hold Texas Medical Board License, ARRT Mammography certification or eligibility, and complete a two-year Radiologic Technology program, with ongoing MQSA/FDA CEUs.

Qualifications

• Active Texas Medical Board license or eligible
• ARRT Mammography certification required or eligible
• Completion of a two-year approved Radiologic Technology program
• MQSA/FDA CEU requirements: 15 CEUs every 3 years
• Experience with diagnostic procedures (ultrasound core, stereotactic biopsy) preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide mammography services with accurate positioning and exposure
• Communicate procedures effectively to educate women on breast health
• Collaborate with doctors and staff to support patient care
• Maintain high standards of patient-first service and safety
• Perform other duties as assigned by the department supervisor

Work Location: 1000 N Preston Rd, Suite 30 Prosper, TX 75078

Work Hours: Full-Time, Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm (1-2 Saturday shifts required per month)

The Mammography Technologist operates x-ray equipment and performs a variety of mammography-related diagnostic procedures. Individual must maintain a high degree of accuracy in positioning and exposure technique.

Here Is What You Will Need

• Texas Medical Board License - TMB
• Current ARRT in Mammography certification or eligible to take advanced level exam with documentation of clinical experience.
• Completion of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology
• Continuing Education: MQSA/FDA- 15 CEU’s every 3 years, 200-documented case numbers every 2 years.
• Experience with diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies is preferred.

A Day In The Life Of a Mammography Technologist

• Provide services and support for the following areas:
  • Understands, promotes and demonstrates the Solis Way
  • Consistently practices excellent mammography positioning and exposure technique;
  • Ability to effectively communicate to patients the procedures and educate women about the role of regular mammography in preventative breast health;
  • Ability to effectively communicate on an individual and small group basis to doctors, patients, and other employees;
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and sometimes complicated, written or oral instructions;
  • Must maintain patient-first focus at all times and exhibit outstanding customer service skills;
  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
