Job summary

Solis Mammography is seeking a Mammography Technologist to operate x-ray equipment and conduct mammography procedures at our Mesquite, TX site. The role requires ARRT in Radiography and mammography credentials with MQSA compliance. Schedule is full-time, with a Saturday rotation.

Qualifications

• Completion of a formal radiologic technology training program and ARRT Radiography certification.
• ARRT advanced mammography certification preferred with clinical experience.
• MQSA qualified or registry eligible; continuing education as required.

Responsibilities

• Operate x-ray equipment and perform mammography procedures with high positioning accuracy.
• Communicate procedures to patients and educate on the role of regular mammography in breast health.
• Maintain patient-first focus and deliver outstanding customer service.

Here Is What You Will Need

• Completion of a formal radiologic technology training program and hold current certification by ARRT in Radiography;
• ARRT advanced level certification in mammography with documentation of clinical experience, or
• MQSA qualified and (M) registry eligible;
• Current on all required continuing education and continuing experience as required by MQSA and ARRT;
• High School Diploma; Associates degree preferred;
• Must possess non-restricted licensure in state work location;
• Knowledge of database software, RIS/PACS software is preferred;
• Two years of experience in mammography is preferred;
• Experience with diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies is preferred;
• Prior quality control experience preferred;
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend medical terminology;
• Ability to stand for long periods of time

A Day In The Life Of a Mammography Technologist

• Provide services and support for the following areas:
  • Understands, promotes and demonstrates the Solis Way
  • Consistently practices excellent mammography positioning and exposure technique;
  • Ability to effectively communicate to patients the procedures and educate women about the role of regular mammography in preventative breast health;
  • Ability to effectively communicate on an individual and small group basis to doctors, patients, and other employees;
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and sometimes complicated, written or oral instructions;
  • Must maintain patient-first focus at all times and exhibit outstanding customer service skills;
  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
