Job summary

Solis Mammography is seeking a dedicated Mammography Technologist at our Cedar Hill center. You will perform screening and diagnostic mammograms, support the Radiology team, and educate patients on breast health in a patient-first environment.

Required Texas license and ARRT Mammography certification or eligibility, with a two-year radiologic technology program. Overnight safety and quality imaging are emphasized with potential sign-on incentives and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Texas Medical Board License required.
• ARRT Mammography certification or eligibility required.
• Completion of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• MQSA/FDA CEU: 15 CEU every 3 years, 200 documented cases every 2 years.
• Experience with ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide mammography services and support for the center.
• Communicate procedures and educate patients on breast health.
• Coordinate with radiologists and staff to ensure quality imaging.
• Maintain patient-first focus and outstanding customer service.
• Adhere to radiation safety measures under supervision.
• Assist radiologist in intricate examinations, including biopsies.

Mammography Technologist

Relocation Assistance Eligible for Qualified Technologists

Location:617 Uptown Blvd, Suite 103 Cedar Hill, TX 75104
Additional coverage for Mansfield, Grand Prairie, Red Oak, Burleson, HEB, and Arlington Centers

Hours:(Full-Time)Monday-Friday between 6:45am-6:00pm (Occasional Saturdays 8:00am-12:00pm)

Here is what you will need:

• Texas Medical Board License - TMB
• Current ARRT in Mammography certification or eligible to take advanced level exam with documentation of clinical experience.
• Completion of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology
• Continuing Education: MQSA/FDA- 15 CEU's every 3 years, 200-documented case numbers every 2 years.
• Experience with diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies is preferred.

A Day in the Life of a Mammographer

• Provide services and support for the following areas:
• Understands, promotes and demonstrates the Solis Way
• Ability to effectively communicate to patients the procedures and educate women about the role of regular mammography in preventative breast health;
• Ability to effectively communicate on an individual and small group basis to doctors, patients, and other employees;
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and sometimes complicated, written or oral instructions;
• Must maintain patient-first focus at all times and exhibit outstanding customer service skills;
  Consistently practice excellent mammography positioning and exposure technique; Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
• The Mammography Technologist is expected to practice safe procedures and adheres to radiation safety measures under the supervision of the Radiology supervisor or the Radiologist. Specific duties may include but are not limited to:
• Complete patient education regarding the exam
• Perform diagnostic or screening mammogram as ordered
• Prepares for and assists the Radiologist in the completion of intricate mammography examinations, including breast biopsies.
