Job summary

Solis Mammography is seeking a Mammography Technologist to operate x-ray equipment and perform breast imaging at our Sugarland, TX location with occasional Houston coverage. This role requires TMB licensure and ARRT Mammography certification or eligibility, plus completion of a radiologic technology program.

Qualifications

• Texas Medical Board License (TMB) required.
• Current ARRT Mammography certification or eligibility with documented clinical experience.
• Completion of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Continuing Education: MQSA/FDA 15 CEU every 3 years, 200 documented cases every 2 years.
• Experience with ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate x-ray equipment and perform mammography-related diagnostic procedures.
• Maintain high accuracy in positioning and exposure technique.
• Communicate procedures clearly to patients and educate about regular mammography for breast health.
• Interact with doctors, patients and staff effectively.
• Follow detailed written/oral instructions with attention to patient safety.
• Maintain patient-first focus and provide outstanding customer service.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Work Location: Primary location at Sugarland, TX and coverage for Houston local centers as needed

Work Hours: (Full-Time) Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm (Occasional Saturdays Required)

The Mammography Technologist operates x-ray equipment and performs a variety of mammography-related diagnostic procedures. Individual must maintain a high degree of accuracy in positioning and exposure technique.

Here Is What You Will Need

A Day In The Life Of a Mammography Technologist

• Provide services and support for the following areas:
• Understands, promotes and demonstrates the Solis Way
• Consistently practices excellent mammography positioning and exposure technique;
• Ability to effectively communicate to patients the procedures and educate women about the role of regular mammography in preventative breast health;
• Ability to effectively communicate on an individual and small group basis to doctors, patients, and other employees;
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and sometimes complicated, written or oral instructions;
• Must maintain patient-first focus at all times and exhibit outstanding customer service skills;
• Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
