Job summary

GGP is seeking a Facilities Technician to support the Operations Manager at The Woodlands Mall with safety plans, operating standards, and preventive maintenance for property assets.

The role involves installing and repairing building systems, maintaining interior/exterior areas, assisting with events, and performing custodial duties while upholding OSHA standards. Some evenings, weekends, and emergency responses may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2–3 years of experience in building maintenance or a related field.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Ability to read and interpret documents, plans and schematic drawings and comprehend instructions.
• Self-starter with ability to work independently.
• OSHA General Industries 10-Hour course is a plus.
• Bilingual welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain various building systems.
• Operate equipment to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs.
• Perform maintenance on interior/exterior areas including painting, plumbing, lighting, roof, and more.
• Assist with inventory systems, records, files, and safety data sheets.
• Repair or modify retail merchandising units as needed.
• Assist in setup of events and install/takedown mall decor.
• Perform custodial duties including sweeping, vacuuming, and trash removal.
• Assist with snow removal by vehicle or hand if applicable.
• Support Safety, Health, and Environment policy and OSHA standards.
