Job summary

GGP is seeking a Facilities Technician to support the Operations Manager in implementing safety plans, operating standards, and preventative maintenance for Lynnhaven Mall. You will help maintain building systems and assist with event setup, custodial duties, and basic repairs.

The role requires 2–3 years in building maintenance, a driver’s license, and willingness to work evenings/weekends. Training and development are encouraged, with a focus on safety and OSHA guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2-3 years in building maintenance or related field preferred.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Ability to read and interpret documents, plans and schematic drawings.
• Self-starter able to work independently.
• 2-year Tech School Graduate or trade certificate is a plus.
• OSHA General Industries 10-Hour course is a plus.
• Familiar with Microsoft Outlook (email).
• Bilingual welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain various building systems.
• Operate equipment for preventative maintenance and minor repairs.
• Perform interior/exterior maintenance including painting, drywall, and roofing.
• Assist with inventory systems, records, and safety data sheets.
• Assist with events setup and mall decor installation/take-down.
• Provide custodial support and landscaping tasks as needed.
• Assist with snow removal when applicable.
• Support safety and training in alignment with OSHA standards.
