Job summary

Valiant Residential is seeking a Make Ready who ensures vacated apartments are restored to market-ready status in a timely manner. Responsibilities span inspecting units, coordinating repairs, and assisting with moving appliances, painting, and cleaning tasks.

Qualified candidates have at least one year of related experience and strong English communication skills. A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and on-call availability are required, with bilingual Spanish a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of full-time related experience.
• Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills in English; bilingual in Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect vacated apartments and complete a make-ready checklist.
• Inform Lead Maintenance and Community Manager of needed services and repairs.
• Make ready units for new move-ins.
• Check and replace lights as necessary; repair windows, screens, hinges, doors, shelves, baseboards, mirrors, and closets.
• Check appliances and report problems; assist in moving appliances.
• Make keys as needed; check faucet plugs and repair as necessary.
• Install ceramic tile backsplash in kitchen; replace washers as needed.
• Perform exterior repairs to sinks and bathtubs; assist with painting duties.
• Repair or replace curtains, blinds, ceiling fans; repair plaster holes and paint as needed.
• Inspect bathroom tiles and perform minor repairs; change A/C filters.
• Operate carpet cleaning equipment; assist during trash-out of the apartment.
• Assist with on-call duties as necessary and extend hours including weekends.
• Other projects as directed.
